Construction and Building Services

Build the future with a career in construction. The industry employs around 3 million people (8% of the UK workforce).

Our construction courses open doors to careers in:

  • practical craft skills - carpentry, joinery, painting and decorating, plumbing, bricklaying and more
  • design and management - architect, building surveyor, structural engineer, town planner, civil engineer
  • technical support roles - architectural technician, CAD operative

We’ve got the facilities to give you first-hand experience, right here on campus. Our dedicated carpentry workshops, bricklaying and wall-building spaces, painting and decorating booths and plumbing and heating workshops are the same as you’ll find when you go out to work.

You'll get the chance to develop your skills in plumbing and painting and decorating, allowing you to decide your own career choice.

And of course, our teachers are industry specialists. They’ve been out there and done those jobs themselves.

Adam, who studied Carpentry, said: "I'm learning a lifelong trade to become self employed as a housing developer. I find the course fun and we use both English and maths by applying them to the course. For example, we work out measurements and read plans."

Build your future with us. See which programme you want to do and contact us today.
