An evening of music and football helped to celebrate the achievements of learners with learning difficulties and disabilities at Reading College.
The LLDD department organised the event to acknowledge the progress made by students and to invite parents to find out more about their work.
Reading Football Club chairman, Sir John Madejski and team captain, Paul McShane, presented the students’ certificates and posed for selfies.
LLDD students and music students provided additional entertainment.
Michelle Parks, Director for the Lifeskills faculty at Activate Learning said during the celebration: “We are so proud of all of you. Our students don’t realise how much energy, passion and enthusiasm they give to our staff. Thank you very much.”
The student Emily said "I am very lucky to be part of the LLD/D department. All the help and support we get is amazing. Getting my certificate made me very happy and excited and has really helped my confidence".
The annual celebration event is an opportunity to acknowledge the progress made by students as they prepare for their next stage of learning, employment or independent living.
